The buddhists I have met were effete, desperate to be straight and just not ready for a real bear/man/gay veteran of many gay locales - international also. I first went to temple looking for a path to relieve my suffering. After a period of initial exposure, the dharma resonated strongly in me and I felt that the buddhist path was the way for me. I have been fortunate in having been exposed to wonderful teachers over the years, although now I am practicing alone without a teacher. I would enjoy meeting gay buddhists for fellowship and for dharma practice.

I am a Buddhist because Buddhism allows me to search out the answers to life’s biggest questions without my having to suspend my rationality.
